:Lactulose
Beschreibung:
Lactulose ist ein synthetisches Disaccharid, das aus Fructose und Galactose besteht und hauptsächlich als Abführmittel und zur Behandlung von hepatischer Enzephalopathie verwendet wird. Es handelt sich um eine farblose bis hellgelbe, viskose Flüssigkeit, die in Wasser löslich ist, was die Verabreichung erleichtert. Lactulose wird im Magen-Darm-Trakt nicht absorbiert, was es ihm ermöglicht, seine Wirkung zu entfalten, indem es Wasser in den Dickdarm zieht, die Stühle erweicht und die Darmbewegungen fördert. Darüber hinaus wird es von colonic Bakterien fermentiert, wobei kurzkettige Fettsäuren produziert werden und der pH-Wert gesenkt wird, was helfen kann, die Ammoniakwerte bei Patienten mit Lebererkrankungen zu senken. Lactulose hat einen süßen Geschmack, was es angenehm für die orale Einnahme macht. Seine Stabilität unter verschiedenen pH-Bedingungen und seine ungiftige Natur tragen zu seiner weit verbreiteten Verwendung in medizinischen Anwendungen bei.
