4-(Piperidin-1-yl)-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl morpholine-4-carboxylate is a regulator of mammalian cells. It binds to regulatory proteins and inhibits the activity of pancreatic lipase, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of triglycerides. This leads to decreased cholesterol synthesis and decreased cancer cell proliferation. 4-(Piperidin-1-yl)-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl morpholine-4-carboxylate also activates incompletely inhibited autophagy in cancer cells. The active substances are characterized by their ability to bind to endoplasmic reticulum and cellular membranes and modulate them.
