In addition to inhibiting tumor growth, this drug can prevent metastasis by preventing circulating tumor cells from entering new tissues. The inhibition of estrogen synthesis by 3methoxy-4 nitrobenzoic acid leads to breast cancer cell death in vitro and in vivo.
