It reacts with the amino groups on lysine residues by forming a covalent bond between the amine and the nitrile groups. Tris[(1-benzyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)methyl]amine has a mass spectrometric analysis and is reactive towards azides and terminal alkynes. This molecule is tetradentate and can form four bonds with two molecules of hydrogen peroxide.
