CAS:Kontrolliertes Produkt16-Epiestriol is a natural estrogen that can be found in urine samples. It has been shown to bind to the glucocorticoid receptor, which plays an important role in the regulation of immune responses and metabolism. 16-Epiestriol has also been shown to have immunosuppressive activities and may be used to treat cancer. 16-Epiestriol is metabolized by esterases in the liver, which leads to the production of covalent adducts. These covalent adducts bind to proteins in human liver and other tissues, leading to potential carcinogenicity. 16-Epiestriol binds with high affinity to streptococcus faecalis, which is an opportunistic pathogen associated with urinary tract infections. The optimum pH for this drug is 8.5 and it has been shown that it does not bind well at pH levels below 7 or above 11.
