Glycerol
CAS:Glycerol, sweet & non-toxic, is used in food and medicine, forms fat backbones, and when excess, causes hyperglycerolemia.Formel:C3H8O3Reinheit:98% - 99.98%Farbe und Form:White SolidMolekulargewicht:92.09Glycerol
CAS:Kontrolliertes ProduktApplications Glycerol is used both in sample preparation and gel formation for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Glycerol (5-10%) increases the density of a sample so that the sample will layer at the bottom of a gel’s sample well. Glycerol is also used to aid in casting gradient gels and as a protein stabilizer and storage buffer component.

CAS:Glycerine is a trihydric alcohol that is used as a solvent in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and soaps. It also acts as an emollient and humectant. Glycerin is produced by hydrolysis of fats or oils with water and the catalytic use of strong base. The reaction mechanism for glycerin is: CH3-CO-OH + H2O → CH2-OH-CO-H + H+ The carbonyl oxygens are protonated to form carboxylates, which in turn react with water to form hydrocarbons. These hydrocarbons form esters with the glycerol molecule. The water vapor can be removed by distillation and the resulting product is glycerine.
