N-Benzylsulfamoyl chloride is an inhibitor of the enzyme, racemase. This inhibitor has been shown to be active against a variety of hyperproliferative diseases. N-Benzylsulfamoyl chloride inhibits the production of cell proteins and can be used for the treatment of mycoses and thioether-related disorders. It also has cytoprotective activity in liver cells and neuronal cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit carboxyalkylases.
