3,3-Diphenylpropionic acid is a synthetic compound that is used to treat high blood pressure. It is an ester of hydrochloric acid and 3,3-diphenylpropionic acid. 3,3-Diphenylpropionic acid lowers blood pressure by inhibiting the activity of angiotensin II, which causes constriction and shrinking of the blood vessels.
