It is used for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression, as well as for the prevention of restenosis following angioplasty. 1-(Cyclopropylmethyl)thiourea was shown to inhibit osteoclast activation and bone resorption, which may play a role in its therapeutic effects on bone loss.
