Morazone

CAS:Morazone is an anti-infective agent. The drug contains a biocompatible polymer, which is embedded with nanoparticulate compositions of morazone. Morazone inhibits the growth of microbial organisms by interfering with their cell membrane and inhibiting their ability to produce the proteins needed for growth. Morazone has been shown to be effective against a number of infectious organisms, including bacterial infections such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium complex. It may also be used for the treatment of fungal infections such as Candida albicans. Morazone is well tolerated in animals and humans and does not appear to have any significant adverse effects on the liver or eye cells.
