It also inhibits the growth of two human leukemia cell lines. 3H-Benzo[f]chromene-2-carboxylic acid has an inhibitory effect on infectious diseases characterized by bacterial or viral infection, such as tuberculosis, influenza A virus, and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV1). It also inhibits the growth of cells through apoptosis induction.
