CAS:MOPS sodium salt is a buffering agent that is used in the laboratory for pH control. It is also used as a standard buffer in many enzymatic reactions. MOPS sodium salt contains a hydroxyl group, which can be used to determine the acidity of a solution with an indicator. The hydroxyl group can also be used to study liver cells and cancer tissue. It has been shown that MOPs sodium salt can inhibit cancer cell viability by binding to the receptor. MOPs sodium salt may be used for diagnosis of prostate and breast cancers because it has been shown to bind specifically to prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and estrogen receptors on cancer cells. MOPs sodium salt has been found to have cytosolic protein and hydrogen bond activity, which can be analyzed using acid analysis or amino acid analysis.
