L-Valin ist eine essentielle verzweigtkettige Aminosäure (BCAA), die eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Proteinsynthese und den Stoffwechselprozessen im Körper spielt. Sie wird als hydrophobe Aminosäure klassifiziert, da sie eine aliphatische Seitenkette hat, die zu ihrer Rolle in der Struktur und Funktion von Proteinen beiträgt. L-Valin ist eine der drei BCAAs, zusammen mit Leucin und Isoleucin, und ist besonders wichtig für den Muskelstoffwechsel, die Gewebereparatur und die Energieproduktion während des Trainings.
