CAS:<p>5-Amino-2’-deoxyuridine HCl is an antiviral drug that inhibits the synthesis of DNA. It is a modified deoxyribonucleoside and has a high antiviral activity against herpes simplex virus type 1 and cytomegalovirus. 5-Amino-2’-deoxyuridine HCl is also effective in inhibiting the replication of Epstein Barr virus and adenovirus. The compound has been shown to be active against cancer cells, as well as inducing apoptosis in these cells.
