Das Kaliumchlorid (KCl) ist ein anorganisches Salz, das häufig in verschiedenen Anwendungen verwendet wird, einschließlich als Kaliumergänzungsmittel in Düngemitteln und in medizinischen Behandlungen. Es erscheint als weißes kristallines Feststoff und ist hochlöslich in Wasser, wobei es in Kaliumionen (K⁺) und Chloridionen (Cl⁻) dissociiert.
