Quecksilber(II)-chlorid, auch bekannt als Quecksilberdichlorid oder Calomel, ist eine anorganische Verbindung mit der chemischen Formel HgCl₂. Es ist ein weißes kristallines Feststoff, das hochgradig in Wasser löslich ist und einen bitteren Geschmack hat. Quecksilber(II)-chlorid ist bekannt für seine toxischen Eigenschaften, da es ein starkes Gift ist und bei Exposition schwerwiegende gesundheitliche Auswirkungen verursachen kann, einschließlich Schäden an den Nieren und dem Nervensystem.
