Chlortrifluormethan, auch bekannt als CFC-13 oder R-13, ist ein farbloses, geruchloses Gas bei Raumtemperatur und -druck. Es ist ein Halogenkohlenwasserstoff mit der chemischen Formel CClF3, bestehend aus einem Chloratom und drei Fluoratomen, die an ein Kohlenstoffatom gebunden sind. Diese Verbindung ist bemerkenswert für ihren niedrigen Siedepunkt und ihre hohe Stabilität, was sie nützlich als Kältemittel und in verschiedenen industriellen Anwendungen macht.
