Beschreibung: CFC-113, auch bekannt als Trichlorfluormethan, ist ein Chlorfluorkohlenwasserstoff (CFC) mit der chemischen Formel CCl3F. Es ist eine farblose, nicht brennbare Flüssigkeit bei Raumtemperatur, die durch ihre geringe Toxizität und ihren süßen Geruch gekennzeichnet ist. CFC-113 wurde in der Industrie, insbesondere in der Elektronikindustrie, häufig als Lösungsmittel für Reinigungs- und Entfettungszwecke eingesetzt. Es hat einen relativ hohen Siedepunkt im Vergleich zu anderen CFCs, was es in verschiedenen Anwendungen effektiv macht. CFC-113 ist jedoch bekannt dafür, zur Ozonabbau in der Stratosphäre beizutragen, was zu seiner Ausmusterung im Rahmen des Montreal-Protokolls geführt hat. Seine atmosphärische Lebensdauer ist signifikant, was ihm ermöglicht, lange nach seiner Freisetzung in der Umwelt zu verbleiben und diese zu beeinflussen. Aufgrund seiner Umweltauswirkungen ist die Verwendung von CFC-113 weitgehend eingeschränkt worden, und in vielen Anwendungen werden Alternativen gesucht.
