Beschreibung:
Natriumnitrit, mit der chemischen Formel NaNO2 und der CAS-Nummer 7632-00-0, ist eine anorganische Verbindung, die als weißes bis leicht gelbliches Kristallpulver erscheint. Es ist hochgradig wasserlöslich und hat einen leicht salzigen Geschmack. Natriumnitrit wird hauptsächlich als Lebensmittelkonservierungsmittel verwendet, insbesondere in gepökeltem Fleisch, wo es das Wachstum schädlicher Bakterien verhindert und Farbe sowie Geschmack verbessert.
