Natriumiodid (NaI) ist eine anorganische Verbindung, die durch ihr weißes kristallines Aussehen und ihre hohe Löslichkeit in Wasser gekennzeichnet ist. Sie besteht aus Natriumkationen (Na⁺) und Iodid-Anionen (I⁻), die eine ionische Bindung bilden. Natriumiodid ist hygroskopisch, was bedeutet, dass es Feuchtigkeit aus der Luft aufnehmen kann, was seine Stabilität und Lagerung beeinträchtigen kann.
