Beschreibung:
Glykolsäure, mit der CAS-Nummer 79-14-1, ist eine farb- und geruchloses organisches Molekül, das als alpha-Hydroxysäure (AHA) klassifiziert wird. Es ist die einfachste AHA und hat ein Rückgrat aus zwei Kohlenstoffen mit einer Hydroxylgruppe (-OH) und einer Carbonsäuregruppe (-COOH), die zu seinen sauren Eigenschaften beiträgt. Glykolsäure ist hoch wasserlöslich, was es für verschiedene Anwendungen, insbesondere in der kosmetischen und pharmazeutischen Industrie, effektiv macht.
