Acrylfentanyl hydrochloride is an analog of the potent opioid fentanyl. It has been shown to have anticancer properties and can induce apoptosis in human cancer cells. Acrylfentanyl hydrochloride has been found to inhibit protein kinases, including Chinese hamster ovary cell kinases, which play a critical role in cell cycle regulation and tumor growth. This drug has also been detected in urine samples from patients receiving fentanyl therapy, indicating that it may be a metabolite of fentanyl. Acrylfentanyl hydrochloride can act as an inhibitor of various kinases involved in cancer development, making it a potential therapeutic agent for cancer treatment.
