Weißes Mineralöl (Petroleum), mit der CAS-Nummer 8042-47-5, ist ein farbloses, geruchloses und geschmackloses Gemisch von Kohlenwasserstoffen, das aus der Destillation von Erdöl gewonnen wird. Es besteht hauptsächlich aus gesättigten aliphatischen und zyklischen Kohlenwasserstoffen, was es chemisch stabil und unter normalen Bedingungen nicht reaktiv macht.
