Cisaprid ist ein prokinetisches Mittel, das hauptsächlich zur Verbesserung der gastrointestinalen Motilität eingesetzt wird. Es wirkt als selektiver Serotonin-5-HT4-Rezeptoragonist, der die Freisetzung von Acetylcholin im Magen-Darm-Trakt fördert, was die Peristaltik erleichtert und die Magenentleerung verbessert.
