Moexiprilhydrochlorid ist ein Angiotensin-Converting-Enzym (ACE)-Hemmer, der hauptsächlich zur Behandlung von Bluthochdruck eingesetzt wird. Es handelt sich um ein Prodrug, das im Körper in seine aktive Form, Moexiprilat, umgewandelt wird, das seine pharmakologischen Wirkungen entfaltet, indem es die Umwandlung von Angiotensin I in Angiotensin II hemmt, was zu einer Vasodilatation und einem gesenkten Blutdruck führt.
