CAS:Kontrolliertes Produkt3-O-Benzyl estrone is a boron trifluoride etherate that has been investigated as a radiolabeled estrogen receptor alpha agonist. 3-O-Benzyl estrone has been shown to be an effective cancer therapy in the treatment of breast, colon, and skin cancers. It also has anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting cytokine production. The chemical structure of 3-O-Benzyl estrone is an estradiol amide with a benzene ring in the ortho position. The heterocycle is substituted with three fluorines at the 3, 4, and 5 positions. This estrogenic agent is prepared via the reduction of borohydride with hydrogen gas. 3-O-Benzyl estrone binds to the estrogen receptor alpha and inhibits protein synthesis by binding to DNA at specific sites on the gene promoter region.
