Methyl 3-(prop-2-enamido)propanoate is an acrylate that is used as a monomer in the production of polymers. The polymerization process can be carried out in bulk or in solution. Methyl 3-(prop-2-enamido)propanoate has been shown to react with ethyl bromoacetate to produce acrylic acid esters.
