    <p>5-(Isopentenylaminomethyl)uridine is a modified uridine nucleoside that is used in biochemical research. It is the precursor to 5-amino-2'-deoxyuridine, which is converted to 5-iodo-2'-deoxyuridine. This modified uridine nucleoside can be used as a linker molecule for DNA and RNA ligation reactions and for analysis of biological samples. 5-(Isopentenylaminomethyl)uridine has been shown to inhibit the expression of genes in eukaryotes and prokaryotes. It also has been shown to inhibit the ribosome by binding to the peptidyl transferase center (PTC).</p>
