4-Bromo-1-methyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid is a molecule that inhibits the proliferation of leukemia cells. It has been shown to be effective against lymphocytic leukemia and chronic lymphocytic leukemia in vivo. The antitumor activity of 4BMC was dose dependent, with the best effects observed at concentrations between 10 and 100 μM. 4BMC inhibited tumor cell growth in vitro without affecting normal cells. This compound also showed an interaction with other molecules, such as conjugates and sequences, which can be used for targeted therapies.
