Pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-amine is a derivative of pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine that has been used as a medicinal agent. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of insects by inhibiting adenosine and alkylene synthesis. Pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-amine is also an inhibitor of adenosine kinase, which may be useful in the treatment of some forms of cancer. This drug also inhibits cell proliferation and horticultural pests such as aphids and spider mites. Pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-amine does not affect the nucleotide pool and thus does not act on DNA or RNA synthesis.
