5-Pentyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid is a gtpγs binding agent that has been used in the field of medicinal chemistry. This drug has an affinity for protein-coupled receptors and is able to inhibit the activity of these receptors by preventing their interaction with GTPγS. 5-Pentyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid has also been shown to be an agonist at rat spleen membranes. It binds to the pyrazole derivatives, which are involved in adipocyte differentiation and lipid metabolism.
