CAS:3'-Chloroacetophenone is a compound that has been studied as an antihypertensive agent. It has also been investigated for its potential use as a chemical marker for biological fluids, such as blood, urine, and saliva. 3'-Chloroacetophenone is able to be detected with a sensitivity of 1 part per billion (ppb). This compound can be synthesized by reacting sodium carbonate with acetophenone in the presence of deuterium isotope. The synthesis can be carried out in anhydrous conditions to reduce the formation of water-soluble products.
3'-Chloroacetophenone can be used to prepare a fatty acid derivative by reacting it with potassium hydroxide and a fatty acid in methanol. This derivative can then be analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) or liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) for tissue culture studies or toxicological studies.Formel:C8H7ClOReinheit:Min. 95%Molekulargewicht:154.59 g/mol
