Beschreibung

G418 disulfate is an aminoglycoside that is toxic to bacteria, yeast, protozoans and helminths. It prevents protein synthesis by blocking the elongation step in prokaryotic and eukaryotic ribosomes. It is used as a selection agent for G418 resistant bacteria or fungi after transformation. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio.
