• Beschreibung: The RLN1 gene encodes a protein that is involved in the regulation of cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. It interacts with a number of proteins involved in cancer, tumour progression and metastasis. The function of RLN1 is to interact with other proteins, such as p53 and BRCA2, and regulate their activity. The frequency of this gene has been analysed in healthy controls versus patients with cancer. A number of different tissues have been analysed for this gene including testicular tissue from healthy controls versus patients with testicular cancer. There are also data on the expression levels in normal tissue and cancerous tissue from the same individual. This gene has also been shown to be homologous to other genes that are involved in DNA repair and apoptosis.
