Beschreibung

Cefdinir is a cephalosporin antibiotic that has inhibitory properties. It binds to the penicillin-binding protein and inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cefdinir has been shown to be effective in treating bacterial rhinosinusitis, which is an inflammation of the nasal cavity and sinuses caused by a bacterial infection. Cefdinir is also used to treat streptococcal pharyngitis, which is an infection of the throat or tonsils caused by bacteria called Streptococcus pyogenes. Cefdinir can cause drug interactions with other antibiotics such as amoxicillin, as well as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and naproxen.
