Beschreibung

Ampicillin sodium is an antibiotic that belongs to the group of β-lactam antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial infections, including respiratory and urinary tract infections. Ampicillin sodium inhibits bacterial growth by binding to penicillin-binding proteins in the bacterial cell wall by competitive inhibition. This binding prevents the formation of an antibiotic-inhibitor complex with the enzyme cell wall synthesis that is required for cell wall biosynthesis, inhibiting protein synthesis and cell division. Ampicillin sodium has a synergistic effect when combined with glucose injection or other injections. The pH profile of ampicillin sodium injection solution should be between 2.0 and 7.5, with a preferred range of 5.0-7.0. Ampicillin sodium should not be mixed with solutions containing hydroxide or acetate ions because it may result in chemical instability and precipitation due to hydrolysis reactions.br>br>Ampicillin sodium can be used as
