Beschreibung

2-Amino-4-methyl-5-chlorobenzenesulfonic acid is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of sulfonamides. It is used as a model protein in the study of hydrolysis by hydrochloric acid and its reversibility. 2-Amino-4-methyl-5-chlorobenzenesulfonic acid has been shown to inhibit HIV infection in vitro, but not staphylococcus or streptococcus. The drug has also been shown to reduce the levels of diamine tetraacetic acid (DTA) in maternal blood samples, which may be due to its ability to bind to DTA and form a stable complex. This drug has been investigated as a possible treatment for HIV infection because it inhibits viral replication and production of new viruses from infected cells.
