Beschreibung

N,N,N'-Triethylethylenediamine is an amide that contains three ethyl groups and one nitrogen atom. It is a colorless liquid with a strong odor. N,N,N'-Triethylethylenediamine has been used as a reagent for the synthesis of organic compounds and as a base for preparing ammonia. It also reacts with inorganic acids to form ammonium salts and amines. The reaction products are water vapor, malonic acid, and chloride. This compound can be detected by gas chromatography using a detection method involving molybdenum and fluorine. N,N,N'-Triethylethylenediamine has high water permeability and hydroxyl group properties that make it useful in many applications including the manufacture of paints and adhesives.
