Beschreibung

Sulfabromomethazine is a sulfa drug that can be used as an antibacterial agent. It is effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Sulfabromomethazine can be reconstituted with water or saline and then injected intravenously as a medication. Sulfabromomethazine has been shown to cause tissue necrosis in rats, but not mice, when injected subcutaneously. The toxicity of this drug may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of DNA and RNA, leading to cell death. This drug also causes tissue necrosis by binding to sulfonamide receptors on the surface of cells and preventing the entry of chloride ions into the cells, which leads to cell death.
