Beschreibung:TBPP is a reactive, water-insoluble compound that is used in the analytical method for wastewater treatment. TBPP binds to the receptor binding sites of pharmaceutical preparations and sample preparation reagents. The nuclei of cells treated with TBPP are dispersed and can be analyzed by flow cytometry or microscopy. Exposure to TBP causes genotoxic effects in vivo and in vitro assays. TBPP has been shown to have carcinogenic effects in rats when administered orally or by inhalation.
TBPP is also used as a solvent for glycol ethers and other organic solvents in the production of certain rubber products, such as tires, latex gloves, and condoms. This process may result in the release of these chemicals into the environment via air emissions during manufacture or disposal of waste products.
