Beschreibung

Pheneticillin is a substance that is used to treat bacterial infections. It works by blocking the synthesis of proteins in bacteria. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, metabolic disorders, and cancer. Pheneticillin can be administered orally or intravenously. The substance is active against streptococcal pharyngitis, bowel disease, and infectious diseases. However, it is not active against many common types of bacteria such as E. coli or salmonella because they have cell walls that are too thick for the drug to penetrate into the cells. The substance does not cross into the brain or other areas of the body where it cannot be reached by the blood stream. This limits its use for certain types of infection involving these areas (e.g., meningitis).
