Beschreibung

Dibenzo[a,e]cyclooctene is an organometallic compound that reacts with ethylene diamine to form a complex. The reaction solution was homogeneous and the reaction was carried out at room temperature. Dibenzo[a,e]cyclooctene is an electrochemical catalyst for the hydrogen transfer reactions between anhydrous sodium and β-unsaturated ketones. It has been shown to be a good catalyst for polymer film synthesis of fatty acids. Dibenzo[a,e]cyclooctene has also been used as a chemical intermediate in the synthesis of antidepressant drugs such as Prozac.
