(’)-Globulol is a monoterpene that is found in the genus Nepeta cataria and the plant Melaleuca alternifolia. (’)-Globulol has been shown to be an oxygenated terpene with a food composition of 0.01%. It also has a surface methodology of solid-phase microextraction, which is a technique used for sample preparation. The chemical reactions of (’)-globulol have been studied using nmr spectra, and it has been shown to contain β-caryophyllene and α-pinene. Chinese herbal medicine uses this substance as an anti-inflammatory agent.
