Beschreibung

2-Amino-N-phenylacetamide is a heterocyclic compound that is structurally similar to the amino acid phenylalanine. It may function as an acyltransferase inhibitor, which prevents the formation of cholesterol and fatty acids. It has been shown to inhibit cholesterol acyltransferase when mixed with hydrochloric acid and alkoxy radicals. The reaction between 2-amino-N-phenylacetamide and phosphorous acid generates an amide, hydrogen bond, and optical properties. 2-Amino-N-phenylacetamide binds to carboxylic acids such as buffers and carbonyl groups due to its carboxylate character.
