• Beschreibung: Pentaerythritol tetraacetate (PET) is a solid dispersion that is used as an absorption enhancer and cross-linking agent in the pharmaceutical dosage form of fatty acid. PET has been shown to increase the water solubility and stability of lipophilic drugs, such as ethylmalonic acid, by forming microemulsions with these drugs. PET also prevents permeation into the bladder. It has been shown that mice fed with a diet deficient in linoleic acid are more susceptible to developing symptoms of fatty acid deficiency than those on a normal diet.
