Beschreibung

Tetramethyl Orthosilicate is a silicon-containing liquid that is used in the preparation of silica. It has been shown to be an optimum concentration for the reaction when mixed with trifluoroacetic acid and methanol solvent, which are both volatile. Tetramethyl orthosilicate reacts with water vapor to form silicon dioxide, which can be seen in human serum samples. The reaction solution has been shown to contain nitrogen atoms and has a particle size of less than 10 microns. Tetramethyl orthosilicate is stable in a matrix effect and reacts via a chemical mechanism that involves two molecules at once.
