Trans,trans-1,4-Diphenyl-1,3-butadiene is a monomer that belongs to the group of polymeric materials. It has been shown to have retinoic acid activity, although it has not been extensively studied in this regard. Trans,trans-1,4-Diphenyl-1,3-butadiene can be synthesized by oxidation of benzene or by polymerization of butadiene and styrene.
