Produktinformation
4-Phenyl-1,2,3-thiadiazole is a diazole with a protonated phenyl group. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of α-amylase and α-glucosidase. 4-Phenyl-1,2,3-thiadiazole has been synthesized through the reaction of morpholine with benzothiadiazole. The substituents on the phenyl ring are important in determining the inhibition rate and the yields of this compound. This ligand has been used in coordination chemistry to form complexes with metal ions and in photochemistry experiments as a photosensitizer for bioassays.
