Beschreibung

Armodafinil is a psychostimulant and anti-epileptic drug that is used to treat narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS), or shift work sleep disorder. Armodafinil has been shown to act as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor and an agonist of the oxytocin receptor. This active form has been found in human tissues and fluids, including cerebrospinal fluid, plasma, erythrocytes, saliva, urine, and breast milk. It may also be metabolized to its active form modafinil. Armodafinil does not bind to cortisone receptors or have any anti-inflammatory properties.
