Beschreibung

Dihydrostreptomycin is a drug that belongs to the aminoglycoside class of antibiotics. It is used as an injection solution for treatment of bacterial infections in biological samples, such as urine, sputum, and blood. Dihydrostreptomycin is a water-soluble salt that has a strong affinity for cell wall components. This drug inhibits the growth of Gram-negative bacteria and can be used in the treatment of bowel disease. Dihydrostreptomycin has been shown to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, which may be due to its ability to bind to the RNA polymerase enzyme in the bacterial cell membrane. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique was used to detect dihydrostreptomycin in food samples at concentrations ranging from 0.1 ppm to 1 ppm using colloidal gold as a labeling agent.
